Description

I've seen a closed report that is similar, but perhaps I have more info as there was no disposition of that report other than Closed.

I live in an area where Custom Location - Location search - can't find anywhere close (enough) to where I am. I have to put in the latitude and longitude manually and it works on the dank bar correctly (and oddly lists the name of the town I'm in even though I can't search for it).

DMS Greeter always seem to show New York time - even though Location Search is empty in DMS Settings. I read the configuration documentation: https://danklinux.com/docs/dankgreeter/configuration - and it says the settings are in settings.json - they are not. They are in session.json. They are listed as: "weatherLocation":
and "weatherCoordinates":

The weatherCoordinates correctly shows the gps coordinates I set in custom location in DMS Settings. But weatherLocation says New York, NY - even though this is NOT listed in DMS settings.

Expected Behavior

Steps to Reproduce

1. Set a custom weather location in DMS settings using long/lat coordinates
2. dms greeter sync
3. dms greeter displays NYC weather
