BUG: Stitching problems #989

@metboef

Description

@metboef

What happened?

  1. crash when trying to stich 4 photos in orizontal row
  2. many times it consider the first photo as the main one, than automatically warp the following ones. In this way it deforms the end (usually at the right, if stitched orizontally) of the stitched photo. Warping should be (as in LR) centered in the middle of the stitched photo, so to adjust the whole photo. Morover, it would be very useful if a manual slider would be available.
  3. many times doesn't find the corresponding points, even if the photos are taken evenly and with a lot of overlap.
  4. maybe the geometry of stitching should be considered for a better result (sphere, cilinder, etc.)
  5. the stitching leaves contiguous areas (where 2 photos overlap) with darker and lighter areas, so it will become too difficult to use the resulting photo.

What did you expect to happen?

  • Stitched photos are NOT deformed,
  • every contiguous area has the same tone (or dark/light match)

How can we reproduce this?
