Deno-2.3.5 failing to build

Description

Well the title says it all. It just won't build, eventually stopping with the error code:
⚠ deno-2.3.5 failed with exit code 101 after ⏱ 21m33s in checkPhase

👟 Reproduction steps

My nvf config can be found on https://github.com/Vartroc/nimmer
My nixos config can be found on https://github.com/Vartroc/wieder-nix

Basically, I have no idea what deno even is, but it seems to be a dependency for init.lua, so the only thing I can give is my config. Also, I changed nothing with my config that would bring about this error. The only thing I did is to update my nvf flake.

This is not something we can fix, the problem is in nixpkgs.

alright, so the solution would be to just wait for the fix in nixpkgs?

That, or use nixpkgs.overlays to replace all instances of deno with a fixed version. Though there is nothing I can do on nvf's end.

The Deno requirement goes away if you remove support for TS, TS LSP's, and Markdown.

An update for people watching this, the most relevant PR is here
and it looks like this is fixed for everything apart from x86_64-darwin on main
(along with an update of deno from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6).

If I'm reading the CI pipelines correctly, that means we'll be seeing an update to the unstable packages by approximately tomorrow.

I've updated nixpkgs unstable earlier today, which appears to have fixed the bug on Linux. I'll push another bump in a few days.

At least the latest builds are after the fixes have been pushed to main.

The only weird thing is that I'm using nvf.inputs.nixpkgs.follows with nixpkgs unstable and deno still seems to be on 2.3.5

Ah, my bad, I'm using nixos-unstable which might be lagging.

Edit: yep, it looks like nixos-unstable builds are about 1 day behind, I'm happy to wait.

Okay, builds for nixos-unstable are now working!
As far as I can tell this only leaves x86_64-darwin
(Which I'm afraid I can't test myself, I don't have the hardware)

I believe this has been fixed in Nixpkgs entirely. I don't have a Darwin machine to test, but I don't believe Deno would be allowed to remain broken for too long--even for Darwin. Closing.
