so, pairipfix wasnt working. that repo said to use this if pairip fails.

flashed in magisk. Android 13. rebooted. boot animation stuck and turned the device off. i pressed the power button and rebooted to system.

and i was met with my ROM resetted. only magisk and its modules were there. other user apps, gone.
edit- idk what it was, wifi are connected, wallpapers are there, even developer options were turned on.

i wasnt on pixelOS tho. is that the problem? lmao

Haha, fair point 😂 "BetterFactoryReset" does have a nice ring to it with all the patching we do on packages.xml.

But BetterKnownInstalled is more accurate to what the module actually does (making apps "known" to DroidGuard instead of UNKNOWN_INSTALLED).

I get your frustration but not the issue, How would the module be so destructive?

Please provide me your packages.xml before and after the flashing of this module.

@0x11DFE What he has claimed is actually true for several users including me and it has wiped the whole data like 20 times for me and then somebody told me this module was the issue and after removing this I finally got rid of that chaos and since then I've never installed this module and it's been more than a year I guess.

Even if the intentions of module are right which is the reason I used to always keep it installed in the first place, the implementation is completely catastrophic given the destruction is causes.

I understand the drama and i'm very sorry, If i knew the issues and be able to test them myself it would have been fixed already, Instead i pushed some work without testing.

If you are willing to risk testing the new release and then restoring from backup i will be thankful.
