Improve D&D optimistic updates

When dropping a card on a column, the empty state comes in when the request is completed. I think we can further improve the optimistic updates by setting the blank state when column that an item was dragged from does not have any more columns.

I'd like to take a shot at it if it makes it into an issue. Cheers!

The app feels incredibly sluggish from Asia. Or at least I think it's due to a latency of 300+ms (that I see in the network tab); I can not test from a different location myself, but since I see no other people complaining about this, I presume it is simply due to distance.

Snappiness with this type of app is incredibly important. Some form of optimistic updates would be great when using the app with either bad internet or when accessing from places with high latency. Personally I find it very frustrating to use when creating a new card takes 300-400ms before the window opens.
