Thanks to runme.io and DigitalOcean, anyone can quickly spin up their own demo instance of Wiki.js for a quick test drive.

Usage

Follow the instructions below to get started:

  1. Launch a New Demo Instance
  2. Wait for the deployment to complete. You'll automatically be redirected to the wiki upon completion.
  3. Enter an email address and a password of your choice for the root administrator account.
  4. Leave the Site URL as-is, it won't be needed for this demo.
  5. Press Install.
  6. Wait for the installation to complete. You'll automatically be redirected to the login page upon completion.
  7. Login with the email address and password you entered previously.

Note that demo instances are only available for 10 minutes after the deployment is completed. {.is-warning}

First Steps

You'll first be prompted to create the home page.

Select your preferred editor (Markdown or Visual Editor), enter a Title (e.g. Home) and click OK. You can now enter some content in the editor. Click the CREATE button in the top-right corner of the page when done.

You'll automatically be redirected to your newly created page.

Explore the Administration Area

The administration area contains a vast array of customization options.

Click on the Account icon in the top-right corner of the page, then select Administration.

Explore the various sections from the left side navigation.
