For some reason, I'm having weird issues with the game's lens flare/bloom effect, where there's just this yellow circle around the sun.
Apart from that, the skybox in National Park is just black.

I tried to change options in the ini files, but I got no results unfortunately, I don't know if I'm missing something or if it's just my pc that is the problem.

I went to play a vanilla copy of the game and weirdly enough the skybox for the National Park worked there, so it's gotta be something related to the mod.
Additionally, the broken bloom effect wasn't there but there was no sun at all.

I don't know if any of this helps.

EDIT: I found out the skybox is also broken in Deep Lake, Desert and Cape Way the same way as it is in National Park. And after testing the Vanilla version a bit more, it seems that some cases of semi-transparency don't work very well, the semi-transparent cars that I haven't bought yet simply don't appear at all in the car selection screen, and the car's headlight effect don't seem to be working well when I have the mod working.

Looking around the github page, I found a thread where emoose uploaded the "FilePumper" dll file which, surprisingly, solved pretty much all the problems I had: the skybox works in all the stages I mentioned (along with Ancient Ruins), the cars that I haven't bought yet appear in the car selection screen, the car's headlight and the sun have their lighting working properly. The rainbow in the Jungle stage and the sand gusts in Ancient Ruins are way more noticeable now. And even the Jungle stage that used to have frame drops at the start of the course if you got there by starting all the way back in the Sunny Beach stage is pretty smooth now.

I do have this uneducated guess where maybe the reason for all of this is that the FilePumper is making some semi-transparency effects work properly now in my computer, whereas the older ddl file didn't render them properly in my PC

The ONLY reasons I wouldn't say the FilePumper isn't a perfect fix are:

-The controls in the FilePumper work as it did in older versions of C2C/C2CTweaks where: the Dualshock 4 doesn't have intuitive controls (Accelerate by turning right stick to the left and Brake by turning the right stick to the right, confirm options in the menu with square button, etc.), it's way harder and awkward to remap inputs, and lastly, the Dualshock 4's button icons don't appear anymore in the menus and are now replaced by keyboard key icons.

This alone, honestly, makes the FilePumper ddl file worse than the ddl file I had before. But there's also:

-Some music tracks when playing with the FilePumper ddl do have a weird behavior where they can just not play at all, it seems to me that "Life was a Bore" and "Night Flight (Instrumental)" sometimes do not play in Time Attack mode or after choosing the "Retry" option in the pause menu in Time Attack.

Just for comparison sake, if this thread ever becomes useful for any of the programmers, the version I'm playing is the one in the OR2006 Tweaks discord server in the "#welcome" channel.

I managed to solve this issue by going into "OutRun2006Tweaks.ini", and flipping "TransparencySupersampling" from "true" to "false".

It's been a while since I last played, but yeah, I followed your advice and disabled it and it seems pretty much every issue I had is now gone. I'd say my problem is pretty much solved. Just out of curiosity: do you have any idea why would this option cause this issue?

Glad it helped! Honestly, no idea - my ignorant guess would be that the increase in resolution messes up the transparency chain somehow, but what do I know.

Sorry for the late response, glad you found a fix for it - just wondering, what GPU were you using here? Or were you using anything like DXVK/proton? @san-ake @DerrFence

TransparencySupersampling is meant to only be supported by NVIDIA, but maybe other brands end up having issues with it enabled, might have to add in some GPU vendor check.

Hi @emoose , and thank you so much for the amazing work you've done to keep this classic alive and well-supported.

To answer your question, I was using a GeForce 3050 (can't remember if it's the base 3050 or 3050 Ti).
Integrated chip on a Dell XPS 9520 laptop. And using the latest drivers from Nvidia.

There's a small chance it may be rendering through the other integrated chipset instead, the Intel Iris Xe Graphics.
Hard to tell since the graphics adapter selector in the original package is broken and the Nvidia card doesn't show up on the list.
But seriously doubt it as I doubt the Iris would be able to run at 4k 60fps as it did.

I think I have a fairly weak laptop, and I'm not really tech savvy to know
about my GPU, but I believe it's a Intel(R) UHD Graphics.
