So I was wondering if anybody is interested in working on integrating Fink with Repology. To quote:
Repology monitors a huge number of package repositories and other sources comparing packages versions across them and gathering other information. Repology shows you in which repositories a given project is packaged, which version is the latest and which needs updating, who maintains the package, and other related information. Repology might be useful
There was even a request for that, but this was closed as they couldn't figure out how to get the data: repology/repology-updater#243
As it is, I think it shouldn't be too hard to generate the data; it's a simple JSON file, which could be put somewhere on the Fink website. Details on https://repology.org/addrepo
Considering how few people work on Fink these days and how much work there is for y'all, I am not expecting anything, but on the off chance that somebody is interested, I thought I might post this here anyway :-)
