Editor does not show the standard config when a node has no config

Problem

When a node has no config set, the editor does not fall back to showing the node type's standard/default config, in partivular the Display Settings. The config panel ends up empty instead of rendering the display settings.

Expected

If a node has no config, the editor should still render the node type's display settings, so the user can see and edit the available fields.
