links to lgm/ and 20xx/

from the current 20xx/ site we should have a link to lgm/ and a path to 20xx.

that way we can have a direct rewrite from / to 20xx/...

Not entirely sure what you mean:

• Having a link from the /2015/ site to /lgm/ ? sure, we can simply add it to the menu (just added it).
• Rewriting from / to 2015/ ? indeed, could be a php rewrite, or in the root htaccess.
• What with the current minimalistic page that lists the past LGMs, an can bee seen a split second before it gets redirected? do we want something similar? A better alternative would be to have a /archives/ page that lists the past editions, and can be linked to from the active sites.

the reason of this ticket is that i would like to get rid of the list before redirection.

if we have / to redirect to the current 20xx/ we need a way to make sure that the visitor has a way to get to the lgm/ and to the older 20xx/ sites.

having an archive/ page is not a bad idea... it could also be lgm/archive ...

i would suggest that we ask the local organisation to make sure that their website links to both to lgm/ and to the list of previous websites... or to lgm/ and the previous 20xx/

Ok... created an Archives page on the new /lgm/ site, and added it to the menu both on /lgm/ and /2015/.

And the /2015/ has already a link ("About LGM") linking to /lgm/

i have modified the title to state that it's a list of websites... we already have a list of lgm... maybe, at some time, we want to merge the two...

btw, the standard way to link to the previous LGM could be a first blog post stating that the previous edition is on the previous site. with link... i think that we mostly did that way...
