How do we choose a proposal for the custom connnector |
Announcement!!Ola! I trust you all had a fantastic weekend. Week 2 out of Week 4 of The Connector Hackathon is with us 🥳! We learnt so much throughout Week 1, and there is more learning in store for you this week.
Today, we introduce you to a Student Ambassador from India, who recently built a connector and is currently on his way to being an Independent Publisher. Join us at 6PM EAT to hear about his experience and see what type of connector he built for some inspiration. We have shared resources for you to learn exactly what to do to build your connector. This week, we allow you to try to And on Thursday, we have a session to show you how you validate your connector before submitting it on GitHub for certification. I already sent the calendar invite to you, should be somewhere in your mailbox. See you in the evening! ~ Cheers! |
|
So let's say we chose to build a connector for ADP (or any other options we had from the Top Connector Asks). How would we go about obtaining the API information we require? |
|
@juliamuiruri4 . Hey guys I've been running into this problem that can't seem to fix . The 'default' response should not have schema definition. Schemas should be defined on expected responses only. |
Final Announcement for everyone!!Ola! Category 1: If you were not able to build a connector this time round, all the resources we used are available and you can always create a connector at any time and to any service of your choice. This would be a new adventure for you and we are here to support you along the way. Category 2: Big KUDOS! 🎊 To you that was able to build and submit your connector(s) and I believe that you have already heard back from the certification team on your individual PR and are on your journey to getting your connector published! 🎖️All the best! Category 3: Congratulations 🥳 if you were able to start working on a connector, but you are YET to submit it. Important: For your connector to be considered as part of this program and eligible for an award, you MUST submit it before tomorrow noon (Saturday 15th Oct)!! Any submissions that come in after will NOT be considered for any award, but will still go through the same and general certification process. Lastly: Just as you learnt a lot about connectors this past few weeks, we would also love to learn from you. Click here 👉 We are listening! Kind Regards, |

New Blog for Configuring OAuth 2.0Hi All! We now have a blog that tries to address this feedback: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/educator-developer-blog/configuring-oauth-2-0-authentication-for-microsoft-power/ba-p/3722647 Please let us know if this material will be useful and if we have any important information missing - Thanks! |
|
The article provides an in-depth look at the concepts of Authentication and API testing. I would like to recommend an emphasis of the use of default values in operations by the developers, as it can streamline testing by eliminating the need to input values for each field every time you want to test. After building the connector, you may opt to keep or discard these default values, which can save time and enhance the testing process' efficiency. Well done, @juliamuiruri4 and team, for creating a well-written and informative piece. |
