Any success on Chromebook Crostini?

Has anyone had success with remote control on a Chromebook in Crostini? I was able to install and run locally but cannot get port forwarding to work for remote control. Web search says to add port forwarding and toggle the entry to enable, but I the entry doesn't show up to enable it. The FreeShow app (Google Play) is able to detect and connect but none of the remote control options work and the QR code to the website also fails to load. The link on the QR code works on the Chromebook.

Double check that the IP is correct, it might be a different IP? Or check the console for any errors.
