Not sure if this is a bug or not. There is a delay between audio playing and FineTune detecting and affecting the audio. #308

OK, pinning Zen into the list of apps makes no difference. It still takes a few seconds for FineTune to kick in and reduce the volume to the level set for that app. |

Uh oh!

I'm coming from SoundSource and have been using FineTune for a couple weeks now.
Unless audio is actively playing, apps do not appear in the FineTune settings' App area. When audio does start playing, it takes a second or two for FineTune to detect it and then the app shows up in settings.
That means that the first few seconds of audio is not affected by settings applied in FineTune.
For example, I have Zen Browser (Firefox) set to play at 50% audio volume. But with the delay, Zen plays at full volume for a second or two before dropping to 50%.
In SoundSource, I can add apps and control their settings even when not playing audio. Can I do that in FineTune?
Oh, i just noticed the pin feature for the apps. I'll try to pin Zen and see if that makes a difference. But since I typed this already, I'll go ahead and post it.
