Using an "approved list" seems to greatly slow down list processing

Running Tidy with -a <file> like -a /usr/share/dict/words seems to sometimes greatly slow it down. Not sure what the reason is yet!

Haven't seen this issue since I opened this issue. Will leave it open if other users or future me runs into it again.
