Summary

Implemented the performance metrics functionality for the data quality project.

Changes Made

  • Added the performance metrics implementation.
  • Updated the relevant data quality modules and supporting utilities.
  • Updated the required enum/module code where necessary.
  • Updated .gitignore to avoid committing unnecessary files.

Testing & Known Issues

The existing test suite was run using python -m pytest -x -q. The tests were able to start and execute, but the complete suite could not be made to pass due to compatibility issues with the project's older dependency stack.

The project relies on older versions of packages such as NumPy, Pandas, Pydantic, scikit-learn, Statsmodels, and dython. Setting up these dependencies on the current macOS/Python environment resulted in several issues, including older NumPy versions attempting to build from source, missing/incompatible build dependencies, dependency conflicts, outdated Pydantic APIs, and module/import compatibility problems.

Because this is an older project, fully resolving these issues would require recreating its original compatible Python and dependency environment rather than continuing to modify the project code to accommodate the current environment.

Therefore, the performance metrics implementation has been committed, but the work is currently incomplete from a full test-validation perspective. Complete test compatibility and environment setup will need to be addressed separately using the appropriate legacy environment.

Next Steps

  • Recreate the project's original/compatible Python environment.
  • Resolve the legacy dependency compatibility issues.
  • Run the complete test suite successfully.
  • Address any genuine implementation issues revealed after establishing the correct environment.
