[Feature Request] Exclude directories by pattern - Don't follow symlinks

Hey there,
I tried looking around for a way to exclude indexed locations by patterns (ex. /.env/ , /node_modules/, etc) but couldn't find one, so I would like to request it has a feature, along with the ability when searching recursively, to disable the following of symlinks (ex. from winprefixes, etc.

I tried to index my $HOME dir, and it's up to 12gb of ram usage, and several million files, most of which I don't need indexed, and the above would really help with that.

Yes, this is definitely a needed feature. I will add it to the list, and I will try to release a newer version including it ASAP.
