Description

KSP Scene Editor

KSP Scene Editor is an in-game scene editor for Kerbal Space Program 1 that lets you customize, compose, save and restore the different native KSP main-menu scenes directly from the game.

Features

  • Edit the different native KSP main-menu states independently
  • Directly select and manipulate scene elements
  • Move, rotate, resize and adjust depth
  • Move Kerbals while preserving their native KSP animations
  • Edit the stock KSP logo and compatible visual elements
  • Add custom images
  • Add custom text
  • Edit supported stock menu text
  • Add .craft files as visual scene objects
  • Add celestial bodies detected from KSP and installed planet packs
  • Add and configure scene lights
  • Use custom six-face skyboxes
  • Save multiple compositions for each scene and state
  • Apply, rename and delete saved compositions
  • Keep compositions when entering gameplay and returning to the main menu
  • Restore the active composition after restarting KSP
  • Restore the original KSP scene at any time

Scene Management

KSP Scene Editor recognizes the different native main-menu environments and their individual states.

Each state can be edited independently, allowing you to create different compositions without overwriting the other menu scenes.

Multiple compositions can be saved, renamed, loaded and deleted, allowing you to build a personal library of KSP main-menu scenes.

Installation

  1. Download the latest KSP Scene Editor archive.
  2. Extract the archive into your Kerbal Space Program installation folder.
  3. Verify that the plugin is located at:

GameData/KSPSceneEditor/Plugins/KSPSceneEditor.dll

  1. Start Kerbal Space Program.
  2. Open Scene Editor from the main-menu toolbar.

Compatibility

Developed and tested primarily with Kerbal Space Program 1.12.5.

KSP Scene Editor can detect celestial bodies loaded by KSP, including bodies provided by installed planet packs.

Exact visual compatibility can vary depending on how individual planet packs construct their ScaledSpace objects and materials.

Dependencies

No third-party mod dependency is required.
