Reason for this PR:
Peptidomics experiments frequently deal with the question of digestion efficiency and missed cleavage sites. A simple function to search for a regular expression cleavage pattern expedites QC workflows in peptidomics experiments. For example, shorter or longer tryptic digests result in a different number of miscleavages:
This PR could be the foundation for implementing a standardized QC-plot to assess digestion efficiency with barplots in the future.
