The Power Automate Artemis Framework

The Power Automate Artemis Framework, is designed to help builders of Cloud Flows; create flows in a supportable manner, building them quickly and efficiently, in a standardised way. Consistency is key when performing rapid app and automation development, allowing yourself and others understand how something has been built at a glance, extend/alter quickly, following best practices.

AI Skill

An AI-actionable version of these standards, structured so an AI assistant/plugin building Cloud Flows can load and apply them, lives in skills/power-automate-standards/SKILL.md.

A package manifest for install/distribution is also included at power-automate-standards.manifest.json. This gives the skill a stable identity and lets a client or registry discover the package and its entry point without manually copying files. For now the distribution model is a GitHub repo + tagged release; that makes the package easy to install and version while keeping the setup lightweight.

Ecosystem packagings are collected under manifests/, including generic, VS Code, GitHub Copilot-style, and MCP-style metadata. These are packaging templates for a target runtime and are useful when you want to distribute the same skill bundle in different host formats.

Artemis

Artemis is the greek god of hunting or hunters, often times pictured with a bow and arrow. The Power Automate Icon looks like an arrow head and the idea of being precise or going straight to the source was the idea behind the name.

Collaborators

This framework is derived from years of building flows with colleagues, gaining feedback, discussing the best practices for implementation. These people are too many to name, but the one who stands out as instrumental in these is Andrew Wolfe.
