I saw your profile on MathSE (https://math.stackexchange.com/users/807826/yibox?tab=profile). I visited your Github repositories and found these notes intriguing.

I noticed that you listed about 10 books to read in three years, and it seems to me that they are all undergraduate-level math textbooks. The notes you've taken and the plan you've made indicate you are self-studying these materials (at least to some extent). You see, my situation is very similar to yours. I do some self-studying also take some notes (though I have to admit your notes look way better than mine). I sometimes got really confused while I'm reading, so it occurred to me that asking for your studying experience would be extremely helpful for me.

Therefore, I left a message here to bring to your attention that my curiosity has driven me to consult you about your learning experience. For instance, what made you choose these books? Do you complete exercises in these books? Or, if you don't mind, what is your mathematics background?

I am a student major in biomedical engineering, but some basic mathematical skills are essential in my research career, so I decided to learn those basic textbooks by myself. I chose those books as my tutorial because of their reputation.

As a student major in biomedical engineering, I won't pay too much time on those exercise, and I will omit some pure mathematical content. Furthermore, because those textbooks are written for those students whose career is pure mathematics, some exercises are useless for me, for example, to prove some inequalities or to analyse some intricate properties. My purpose is to build the mathematical system in my mind, and being able to take advantage of it in my future research. I only do some of the exercises, for example, Fresnel integral.

I hope this would be a good answer.

I've just viewed your wordpress website, and find your interest is in number theory. However, I intentionally ignored the number theory part in those books, like Dirichlet's theorem in the last chapter of Fourier Analysis. Because number theory has few application in engineering, so it may be hard for me to discuss questions with you.
