Resolution: Uninstall app, redo pattern from scratch and use usage statistics for lock mechanism instead of accessibility method.
May be caused by switching from pin to pattern on second setup.
When a pattern is used alongside biometric fingerprint, the fingerprint dialog comes up and can be dismissed by tapping anywhere else on the screen. After that, the app and any apps that are supposed to be locked are exposed.

What's happening in the video is that the fingerprint is used once to open app lock but to open calculator a back gesture or simply tapping the screen outside of the fingerprint dialog opens the app and keeps it open for the session.
