Google Play Billing Library Update Requirement

Google has recently mandated an update to the Google Play Billing Library, requiring all applications to use a newer version of the interface https://developer.android.com/google/play/billing/release-notes. We've observed that the current chargebee_flutter package appears to be integrated with an older version of the Google Play Billing system, which is leading to warnings in our Google Play Console.

Could you please provide information on your roadmap regarding an update to the chargebee_flutter package?

Specifically, we would like to know:

• Is there a planned release to incorporate the latest required Google Play Billing Library version?
• If so, what is the anticipated timeline for this release?

Support Google Play Billing Library 8.0.0 in chargebee_flutter

Hi Chargebee Team,

We are currently using the chargebee_flutter Flutter SDK (v0.4.8) in our production application.

According to the changelog, the latest stable version upgrades the Android Billing Library to 7.1.1.

Google Play now requires apps to use Google Play Billing Library 8.0.0 or later for new app updates by August 31, 2026. As a result, we are unable to submit new releases while using the current version of the SDK.

Could you please let us know:

1. Are there any plans to release a version of chargebee_flutter that supports Google Play Billing Library 8.0.0 or later?
2. Is there an estimated timeline or target release date for this update?
3. If the update is already in progress, is there a beta version or branch that we can test?
4. If there are no immediate plans, do you recommend any temporary workaround for developers who need to comply with the Google Play requirement?

This information will help us plan our upcoming releases and ensure compliance with Google Play policies.
