General Approach

Create a json config file specifying the menu and shortcuts, see Menu Shortcut Config Structure.
Call menuinst.install('path/to/menu.json', prefix='path/to/python/env') to install the menu items (Windows, Linux and OSX).
menuinst.install('..', prefix='..', remove=True) will uninstall the menu.

Conda-specific Approach

As part of building a conda package, save menu config files in the folder %PREFIX%/Menu.
conda install will find the menu config files and process these (currently restricted to conda root-environments only).
