Note

Medium Risk
Major PyTorch/torchvision jump affects embedding and document-inference paths and greatly increases Linux install surface (CUDA/triton); lock-only change so runtime behavior should be validated in CI or a smoke test.

Overview
Updates templates/rag-redis/poetry.lock only (no pyproject.toml edits): Dependabot refreshes the lock after bumping PyTorch 2.1.0 → 2.8.0, with torchvision 0.16.0 → 0.23.0 pinned to match.

The lock is also regenerated in Poetry 2.2.1 format (dependency groups, stricter environment markers on extras). On Linux x86_64, resolving the new torch pulls in CUDA 12.8 NVIDIA wheels, triton 3.4.0, and related runtime libs; sympy and typing-extensions move up as transitive deps. Torch still enters the tree via existing packages (e.g. sentence-transformers, unstructured / layout inference), not a new direct dependency.

Intel Mac torch install missing

Medium Severity

After resolving torch to 2.8.0, the lock only lists macOS arm64 wheels. Intel macOS (x86_64) builds that were present under 2.1.0 are gone, so poetry install on Intel Macs may fail to find a compatible torch wheel for this lock.
