Text is warped and uneven with 1.5x scale

At 1.5x scaling for the ui fix (didn't specify text scale explicitly), the text appears wobbly and distorted (pictured above).
Running version 1.67.2 specifically with a 2560x1440 monitor.

I removed all mods except SmoothPatch (didn't touch Overrides) and the issue still occurs when regenerating the .package.
Also, thank you for the mod! Finally, a solution, since the UI is written in XML for the most part, scaling is possible.

Here's an error message I get, not sure if it's normal and or related to the issue I'm having.

This was really bothering me too. I found that using either 1.33 or 1.66 instead of 1.5 helps as a workaround. Obviously, the UI will be scaled a little bit bigger or smaller depending on which one you use but it's way better than sticking with 1 or 2.

EDIT 2: Values of 1.4 and 1.6 should work too.

EDIT: Just Harry shared another potential solution on the mod the sims comment, quoted below.

Another way to eliminate text distortion is to disable "Edge Smoothing" in the game's graphics settings.
Then, for an alternative to the game's built-in anti-aliasing: MSAA can be enabled in your graphics card's control-panel (on Windows, at-least); or SMAA/FXAA/whatever-AA can be injected via ReShade.
