want to clean up forks created due to sergi-go-diff being broken for years ( katbyte/sergi-go-diff#1 ) so just inlining the code we need.
v1.2.0 broke line-mode diffing in Dec 2020, the fix was merged in Jan 2023 (after sitting as PR #125 — the one the fork was a copy of), and it wasn't released until v1.4.0 in June 2025.
todo: at a later time see if we can only inline andreyvit-diff and vendor in the current sergi-go-diff
