@jimcat8 a conscious effort has been made NOT to mention RHEL, Enterprise Linux is sufficient. There is some information that you've added here that is not necessary for the document, so just be aware that I may delete or revert portions of this.

* putting examples in on their own line in bold face is not allowed by markdown. It expects these to be a heading. I've reverted that change.
* there were some overly complex sentence structures that could be simplified.
* the diagram of the lifecycle of a release is not something we should include. We have the basics there. The problem with including a lifecycle chart is that these are *always* subject to change.
* I've left the bulk of your changes in tact.
