Hi, I'm Shubhank Saxena 👋

Backend & infrastructure engineer. I build scalable systems, and I hold 3 patents in assistive technology.

  • 🔭 Currently Vice President of Technology at First Round's On Me, an early-stage social-app startup, where I lead engineering, design, and product.
  • ⚙️ I spend most of my time in the backend and infrastructure layer: rewriting services for scale, standing up observability, and shipping zero-downtime migrations and deploys.
  • 🧩 I hold 3 patents in assistive technology and have built tools for people who are blind or navigating autism. It's a thread I keep coming back to.
  • 🌱 Open source: Google Summer of Code '21 (MediaCMS) and MLH Open Source Fellow (1 of 100 from 20,000 applicants).
