fix the bug with wine windows

what's happening is mouse's cursor position is actually off by some amount depending on the window size, position and every other aspect which makes it near impossible to navigate

i see, this is probably due to me not handling some other atom

does this only happen with fl or other wine apps?

most wine apps when they create another window, like the file picker especially

ok i think i have fixed it. i think the reason why is because sxwm is non-reparenting which means apps "own" the windows so i need to add the _NET_FRAME_EXTENTS atom to give proper details about the window.

please try this fix

this wine problem is really frustrating. if anyone has any suggestions feel free to say. from what i think is happening, the window believes it is active only at around (0, 0) and no matter what you do on the wm, wine doesnt transform the window.

actually i sort of have a fix. open winecfg then drag it to top left then under Graphics disable Allow window manager to control the windows.

this way you have to drag the window my the titlebar to make it move and isnt elegant but its something ig

i dont really want to see the title bar, but if that works, then sure
still wish there was a proper fix.

yeah i haven't given up on looking for one. i'll check out dwm source to see why it doesn't work

ok i think to get wine to work you may have to reparent all the windows and do some logic there
